More Flash

Well, I eventually resorted to running Flash on a VitualBox instance, which will do, I suppose. That was pretty much it for yesterday. Real Life had its demands, especially with Xmas looming so large. I did some fiddling SceneEdit as well but nothing substantial to report.

I did end up looking at an old flash project of mine. I kind of burned out on this one and it stalled, but I haven't given up on it just yet. In fact right at this minute I'm really tempted to blow the dust off it and see if I can take it forward.

I must be getting bored with that scene editor app. My brain keeps casting around for other things to do.

Anyway, since I'm on the subject, here's the game so far as it got: Mad Science 101. Password is "docclox"

Adult content and all that. Adult themes. Naughty words. A little bit of animated shagging. I better put the over-18 warning back up again.

And the password for the archive is?

Damn - I always forget that.

Tested it on VirtualBox-ed WinXP SP3 (no updates) with Adobe Flash Player v10.1.102.64
Run on FireFox v3.6.13 and Media Player Classic Home Cinema v1.4.2786:
needs pageup/pagedown buttons on shops interface
no tutorial after skipping the whore on first meeting
save doesn't record IWAS Report, scouting, inventory, emails, journal and blueprints status
buying a car results in loosing the money and Transport == Walking (disappears after loading)
on first of every month an unidentified email is received (probably the IWAS report and funds)

Wow. Thanks for the report.

I guess I have an excuse to fix it now :)

I found basically the same bugs as the previous anonymous user. Apart from that, it is impossible to load a game since it'll say that the IWAS report wasn't handed in and give a game over screen.
Also, the red status bar won't rise for the whore after getting the second heart.

Nice game though. I hope seeing an updated version. :)

Thanks for the report. I came across a pile of my old development notes for this one, so I think I'll definitely have to look at updating it, at some point.

Old Frank's got a long way to go yet :)
