Scenes and Stages, Narratives and Narrators

I'm working on the  ADV elements of the game at the moment.  It's not hard to hand code such things, but they are a pain to lay out legibly, and I wind up doing a lot of cut and paste errors.

So, I'm trying to drive all this from data files. I figure I spec the narrative in XML, load it, and then just walk the data structure.

This is the structure I'm working on.




















Somehow these things never seem so complicated when they're in my head

Updated the diagram. Several times. Every time I think I'm done I remember something else...
