Amoeba suggested a verdigris background for the lab screen, and keep green as the dominant colour. This is how that looks:
I can live with that, I think. I'm slightly reluctant to lose the rusty backdrop, but this works just as well.

you are right that dominant green looks better on that background but I think that there is too much green as a hole even with dominant yellow and that background.
Wait, I suggested a verdigris background? I thought I suggested a tarnished brass or bronze background. Cause I'm pretty sure I was think about the Infernal Exalteds' color scheme at the time. That said, I do think the dominant green looks better, but also agree that there is too much green now.
I thought verdigris was tarnished bronze?
